Questions nobody asks
FAQ: Can I hire notasoftwaredevelopmentcompany? Do you do software development? Why is there a donut? Answers to questions nobody has asked.
Can I hire you?
No. We are not a software development company. This is not modesty. It is the business model.
Do you do software development?
We do software. We do development. We do not put them together and charge money for it.
Then why do you know so much about software?
Hobby. Some people knit. We write C that draws a donut, then compile it to WebAssembly so it can draw the donut in your browser.
Why is there a donut on the front page?
Somebody asked “why?” and nobody had a good answer, so it stayed. It is freestanding C with no libc, compiled with plain clang. It is the most engineered thing we have never sold.
Can I get an estimate?
Yes: never. It is the only estimate we have ever given, and it has always been accurate.
What technologies do you use?
Linux, containers, REST APIs, Hugo, nginx and a text file. The full list of things we are experts at, allegedly, is on the front page.
Do you have any products?
We have things that are not products. The font converter turns your text into box-drawing characters. It is free, because nobody would pay for it.
How do I contact you?
Press the contact button on the front page. You will get an error. That is the contact.
